Youth Guidance: You don't have to go it alone
The YFC Youth Guidance ministry - through institutional, juvenile justice, or social service agency contacts - connects trained adults with young people to help them make good choices and establish a solid foundation in life. Like every ministry of YFC, Youth Guidance seeks to engage these young people wherever they are found as life-long followers of Jesus Christ.
Youth for Christ believes that early adolescence is a critical time in a teen's life. Intense pressure is created by physical and emotional changes, a deep desire for acceptance and love, and the bombardment of decisions with lifelong impact. Youth Guidance's emphasis on the unfailing love and companionship of Jesus brings a message of hope and permanence to the turbulence of the teen years, and helps ease the transition to adulthood.
YFC understands that creative alternative approaches are needed to reach at-risk youth, so Youth Guidance has taken on many forms to make an impact. Neighborhood clubs, youth centers, street work, tutoring, life-skills mentoring, counseling, and juvenile institutions are just some of the programs that Y.F.
